All the trimmings,
In September, we spent a sunny Sunday afternoon trying to get the out side of the house that last 5% done before winter. OK, several sunny afternoons.
After having the cedar 2x2s ripped to make the false sill, we added side trim and a top shelf and plenty of flashing. They match the old windows in the top floor perfectly. Elsa even helped out with the caulking.
We even got around to siding the gaps and added the bottom band around the west side of the house. Last, but not least, we finished off the front door with oversized trim edge, new siding, and craftsman-style lights. A handcrafted lit bronze doorbell button was added too---thanks mom and dad.
